Mia Chaplin (b.1990) graduated from Michaelis School of Fine Art in 2011 and has since worked as a professional artist based in Cape Town. She works predominantly in oil on canvas and paper; her highly expressive works characterized by muted tones, visible brushstrokes, and rich impasto surfaces. Her subject matter ranges from landscapes and portrait studies to still lifes and abstracts. Chaplin is represented by Whatiftheworld gallery, Cape Town.
