Having grown up on his fathers farm John loves his herd of cows so it was fortuitous that Harri Hoets Turner put him forward to make these sculptures.

John crafts each piece patiently with the utmost care and love for the animal and has grown as a sculptor - perfecting his pieces -  learning the different clays and oxides for painting .

The oxen are reminiscent of the handmade oxen which the children make all throughout

Southern Africa.  Made from recycled clay, each piece is unique.
