Lisa Brice, one of South Africa’s best-known artists, was born in Cape Town in 1968, and she lives and works in London and Trinidad. Lisa was previously known for her constructed installations and sculptures featuring found objects and domestic materials, such as linoleum. Since around 2006 Lisa has returned to painting.

In 2012 Lisa was selected by a panel of prominent critics and curators for inclusion in Vitamin P2, Phaidon’s major anthology of international painting.

This untitled print is a highly expressive lithograph which pursues the theme of adolescent love and desire – the focus of the work presented on Brice’s acclaimed 2007 exhibition at the Goodman Gallery in Cape Town, ‘Base One Two Three’.

Brice’s untitled lithograph is hand-printed in three colours on Arches paper by Stephen Inggs and Andrea Steer in the Printmaking Studio at the Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town.
