MARIT GREENWOOD
“Many artists take their inspiration from outside themselves – Marit looks within herself and paints in a new symbolic language,” says her sister Bernadette Wilchiewicz. “Marit’s work tells the story of a soul, a soul on a journey and its destination. Therefore to appreciate her art we need soul seeing and soul hearing.” Greenwood began painting in 2009 and started etching in 2013. Since first appearing on the artist scene, Greenwood has participated in over 20 exhibitions.
Her deeply sensitive works which she calls “Interiorscapes” will appeal to the discerning viewer. They are the visual expressions of her intimate search to find a place of stillness, home.
