MY WORK

Whether painting in my studio or facilitating public art workshops, my motivation remains the same. I am curious about the insights painting has to offer. Despite the prevailing sense of uncertainty, I firmly believe in the limitless potential of our world. Guided by the principle that energy follows
where attention goes, I’m driven to contribute to a collective narrative of a golden age.

This compels me to use painting to explore and uncover personal and universal perspectives and
processes aligned with a wholesome world.

In my artistic process, I attune myself to the voice of the painting. Every brushstroke is a dialogue,
with the painting guiding me. Like a game of hot and cold, I listen attentively and experiment until I
arrive at a good resonance. It is at this resonance that the painting starts to reveal some useful
insights. Personally, the insights gained through painting have enhanced my well-being and quality of life, fueling my ongoing commitment to this creative
practice.

Utilizing mud and charcoal in my paint, I create paintings characterized by a thick, cracked,
textured, and sandy appearance. I remove as much material as I apply through
techniques like sanding and scrubbing, resulting in pieces that evoke a sense of ancient tribal artistry.

The seemingly primitive aesthetic and earthy origins of my paintings, draw attention to our
strong connection to nature and the enigmatic forces underpinning our inner and outer worlds.
